Get to Know Next Year’s Staff: GSB Tutor Samuel Keane

I am truly thrilled to be a part of the Manresa Program for the 2015-2016 academic year. I will be serving as a live-in Manresa PictureManresa Tutor in the areas of Calculus, Finite Mathematics, Statistics, and Economics. I am a rising sophomore majoring in Finance, with a primary concentration in Economics. I grew up in a small town in rural Maine, and when I’m not focused on schoolwork, I enjoy running, hiking, and playing various sports. Having recently completing my freshman year at Fordham, I am ready to provide help and support for students in any way that I can to facilitate the true goals of the Manresa Program.

Next year, I will tutor in two different ways. First, I will be available during my daily office hours, during which students can stop by with specific questions on individual assignments or broader concepts. In addition to these scheduled office hours, I will be available to students by appointment for additional individual help. Second, I, along with the other tutors and RAs, will be holding various academic programs throughout the semester to enhance the Manresa Scholars’ first-year experience.

The Manresa Program is one of the most unique and all-encompassing communities not only at Fordham University, but across the country, and I am truly honored to be a part of it next year. Fordham is full of opportunities, and I am sincerely excited to be able to help new Manresa Scholars excel!
